day 199: A Little Disappointed

Yesterday, I was on twitter {shocking, I know}, and I found an article {via @ohdearitsLayla} about books that are coming to the big screen. I'm not going to mention every single book because you can take your happy butts over here and read it!

I will say that the one I was most excited about was One for the Money - the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. I seriously heart those books!! Hurry and read them all before the movie comes out in January because I am a little disappointed by the casting choices.

When I originally saw that the book had been made into a movie, I squealed with glee...out loud!! I have been desperately waiting for this to happen. As soon as I saw the ad, I scooted over to imbd.com as quickly as possible. Then, my heart stopped.

When I imagined Stephanie Plum while reading the books, I pictured a brash woman who had seriously ditzy moments. Stephanie Plum is supposed to be on the short side with brown curly hair and from JERSEY. When I think about actresses who might portray her well, I imagine Sandra Bullock and Marisa Tomei. But that's not what the casting directors went for...

Never once have I pictured Katherine Heigl. Not once. And, now I'm sad. Don't get me wrong; I love 27 Dresses, but she tends to play the same characters over and over again. {insert sad face here} I'm sorry, but I really hope she doesn't ruin this series for me.

Then, I scrolled down the page some more to see which hunky men are going to be playing Joe Morelli and Ranger. I was not disappointed. They are seriously drool-worthy.

Jason O'Mara {playing Joe Morelli}

He's perfect perfect perfect!!! He looks just as I imagined the character would in real life. Be still my beating heart.

Daniel Sunjata {playing Ranger}

He's a little younger looking than I anticipated, but that's okay because he's very pretty.

Now I'm going to "patiently" wait for January 2012 to come...

  1. Okay, I've been on a book hunt lately after reading a few bad ones and have not read One for the Money but if you are super into maybe I'll pick it up!
